Times change, trends change, and technology changes faster than we realise – which means what was once a shiny new logo or website can quickly become dated and old. So how do you give your brand a fresh new look, whilst maintaining the integral look and feel of your business? This week at ipCreative we are investigating five simple ways you can make your brand pop. Tip 1: Make a subtle change Your logo should be simple and memorable. You could simplify the colours to make it compelling, remove shadow, or simply reduce the number of elements people are looking at. Layers of meaning can be conveyed through the use of shape, colour, font and tone, without your logo becoming too complex or overwhelming.
Our designers created the IQ Traffic logo to convey the feel of a road network that is at the same time flowing and complex. They used just two colours: black for the road, and orange to convey the sense of control in an orange slow down light. The dots represent traffic controllers, and the roads make the shape of the IQ: layers of meaning are contained, but the design is simple and minimal.
