What does this mean?
The WALGA Preferred Supply Program is a centralised purchasing program that gives local governments in Western Australia the ability to purchase goods and services of any value and over any period of time without having to go to tender.
The gives local governments flexibility through a streamlined, simplified purchasing process, and a guarantee of best prices and conditions of supply, with goods and services tailored to local government needs.
Organisations gain preferred supplier status by going through a public tender process in accordance with Local Government Purchasing Regulations. The process pre-qualifies them to supply goods and services to the local government sector over any time period, without having to go to tender.
